See, this is the problem with hip-hop

*WARNING: This post contains a LOT of foul and inflammatory language. Probably not safe for work... although I'm at work. Hmmmm....

The line between what's real and what's comedy is completely blurred out.

Rapper Ransom dissing Joe Budden:

Tubesteak (from the mind of Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder):

I'm not sure which one's funnier.

It's like someone's in my head: Tracy Morgan - Nigerian Prince e-mail scammer

Yes! (c) Marv Albert

From I Watch Stuff:
Tracy Morgan has been lined up to produce and star as a classic scam email Nigerian prince in a film written by John Mulaney and Nick Kroll.

Check out the Variety article about the movie:

"Freshman Roommates" asks the question what if one of the emails isn't a scam. Story kicks off when a young man answers one such email during a drunken stupor. Soon thereafter, the spoiled son of a deposed African dictator (Morgan) shows up at his door, looking to secure his inheritance.

Somebody pinch me.

Khrysis on the boards with the heat

Only a few producers have been able to cause me to make this "this joint is sick" face regularly over the past few years. Khrysis is one of them.

Listen for yourself.

I mainly know him from his work with Little Brother and the Justus League, but dude has a lot of work out there. Just figured I'd take some time to show him a little appreciation.

Saw the Wolverine trailer Saturday night...

while seeing the crappy The Day the Earth Stood Still.

I have no strong feelings on the trailer itself, but I'm more than pumped for the movie.

As seen everywhere, including I Watch Stuff.

McNugget Love: Funny or Not?

The commercial:

I've heard several different opinions on this commercial ranging from "terrible" to "the best commercial McDonald's has ever produced". That second one was me.

I don't know if the commercial was meant to be this funny, or if it's so bad it's funny, but either way, when homey puts his head in his hands towards the end, I completely lose it. This guy has 100% of the simp R&B singer syptoms down pat. Some folks believe that Mickey D's has once again produced an awful "urban" music-based commercial. Part of me thinks they may be right. But, c'mon, the comedy in this joint is just too perfect.

N.A.S.A. feat Kanye, Santogold and Lykke Li: Gifted

This was already all over the blogs, but was too dope to not post anyway.

I don't know much about N.A.S.A.(northamericasouthamerica) other than one of the dudes is Spike Jonze's brother. Oh, and they seem to have a ridiculously hot album dropping in January.

Hmmmm...

I'm still not sure how I feel about this

I've made my feelings known about this a while ago.

Then yesterday this dropped:

But on the other hand, it's nice to see a late night show with a diverse staff, writers and talent.

The history of Hip-Hop hit my inbox today (thanks Paul)

I didn't know this existed, but The Rub has put together a mix for each year from 1985-1999. So far, I've only looked at the tracklists and I'm already going nuts.

Not much else to say.
