I thought I was voting for Barack next year
But it seems another candidate has stepped up, and it's no other than Patrice O'neal. The actor/comedian/frequent news show guest (youtube him, you won't be dissapointed) has placed his bid for the Presidency with a couple of introductory videos to get you acquainted with where he stands on the issues.
Videos courtesy of the The Patrice O'neal Show: Coming Soon (hilarious site by the way). Some lames might find this content mildly offensive.

His hat is like a shark's fin. Never forget.
Today I bring you two pieces of LL Cool J related media. (Kids chime in: Yaaaaaaaay).
First enjoy Mr. Smith himself "talkin greasy" about the current climate in rap, while taking not so thinly veiled shots at today's rappers. Courtesy of nahright.com
But wait... there's more.
The folks over at The Real present:
He's something like a phenomenon.

MFer I want more Iced Tea!!!
I felt the need to post this just because it's funny as sh*t. It's kinda entertainment based, O'Reilly slips in his standard attack on hip hop while detailing his Nubian Weekend w/ Al Sharpton.

Check out Media Matters for some background, but it's even funnier if you don't.
Listen to the clip here.

Fall TV Part ummmm.... oh yeah, V
Part I - Monday
Part II - Tuesday
Part III - Wednesday
Part IV - Thursday
I drink on Friday Nights so who cares, right? I assume that's what's running through your head. Anyway...
Me and The Futon Critic take you through Friday nights below.
Click on the schedule to enlarge:

So basically a whole bunch of crap I don't watch comes on Friday... wait... what's this? Oh, just NBC just intentionally sabotaging my favorite show last season, Friday Night Lights. Assholes. Other than FNL, it really doesn't matter what you watch. I'm done. And angry.
On the plus side, I plan to do Friday Night Lights blog posts just as I plan to for Lost, 24, The Office, etc. Should be a blast.

Fall TV Part IV: Thursday
Part I - Mondays
Part II - Tuesdays
Part III - Wednesdays
Thursday nights are typically a solid night for TV, if not the best night. It looks like this fall is no different.
Get more information on this fall's TV lineup and shows at The Futon Critic.
Thursdays - click the schedule to enlarge

The heat starts right at 8:00 on the Big 3 (CBS, ABC, NBC) with heavy hitters like Survivor (haven't watched since season 2), Ugly Betty (nope, don't watch. looks ok though), and one of my favorite shows My Name is Earl.
Once you start on NBC, you're done for the night because they have the next hour and a half locked down, as long as you like hilarious sitcoms. At 8:30, I'll finally be giving 30 Rock a decent chance after watching it half-assed last season.
Then at nine, all hell breaks loose. Season 4 of the Office begins and if there's one show that I recommend you don't miss, it's got to be the office. Amazingly, the show continues to get better with time, vastly improving from its rocky first half a season.
At 9:30 you'll be pleased to see that Scrubs has not been canceled and is entering its 7th (and hopefully last) season.
At 10, i can guarantee you that I will NOT be watching Big Shots, the Desperate Housewives for guys crapfest. I'm just gonna flip over to FX (once I spend 10 minutes trying to find it) and catch back to back episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Breaking News: Hub is leaving The Roots?
Normally I would never post about rumors or gossip, but this news shocked me pretty good.Check this post on okayplayer.com.
Apparently at a show on 8/31, The Roots made the announcement that the man who popularized chew sticks may no longer be performing with them. Check out the audio. I just hope that this isn't the beginning of the end.
Good luck to Leonard "Hub" Hubbard. I swear he's been with them from the jump, but folks must move on I guess. 18 years is more than enough time w/ one endeavor.

Part III
Welcome to the wonderful world of Wednesday tv.
Part I - Mondays
Part II - Tuesdays
Of course, many thanks to The Futon Critic. Check it out for more information on the fall lineup.
Wednesdays - click the schedule to enlarge
Last year, Wednesday was my favorite night of television. Friday Night Lights and Lost (with a solid halftime break from 9-10) made planning easy. This year? We'll see...
ABC is coming with the brand new, highly anticipated Pushing Daisies and it looks like its got potential to be a hit. Following Daisies, I'll be changing the channel 'cause Private Practice, a Grey's Anatomy spin-off, is up at 9.
So at 9, looks like I'll be flipping over to NBC to watch the train wreck that will be the Bionic Woman. Then at 10, i think I'll take it to cable with BET's (yes, BET) College Hill: Interns and my future ex-mistress, Keyshia Cole's reality show: The Way it Is.
I'm not sure when Lost is coming back, but when it does, it will definitely solidify Wednesday night, much like 24's hold on Monday nights.

Fall TV: Part II
Part I
Thanks again to the Futon Critic who has (unknowingly) provided these schedules. So in order to find out more about the shows I talk about, visit www.thefutoncritic.com
Plus, the Fall TV guide is updated often with the latest changes so for the most accurate schedule, check out the site.
Tuesday: click the schedule to enlarge

Where do I begin? Tuesday is looking terrible. Like, really bad.
Let's jump straight to the debacle that is ABC's Cavemen. Yup, the amusing, yet progressively more annoying, cavemen from the Geico commercials have their own primetime sitcom. Even if it is funny, it won't be better than the "roast duck with mango salsa" line. I'm gonna give it a shot, just so I don't miss the hoopla, I'll be screwed if it's actually good. But it won't be good so... crisis averted.
It's obvious that Cavemen is just a cheap trick to keep folks on the station at 8:30 when Carpoolers airs. This show's premise has promise and should fit right in with other dialogue heavy comedies that are hot right now (I think?). But it is ABC, so I guess we'll see.
After that, we've got more of the same. A CSI incarnation, some reality crap and House, which looks like it will hold down my 9:00 time slot. I just hope there are a lot of Tuesday night Sixers games this season.

Finally, I have an excuse to be lazy again
The 2007 Fall TV Season is right around the corner, and I'm predicting big things. My buddy over at Smedelicious already gave her picks for the new season, and I think I'll take this time to do the same.
Lets break it down by night with the help of The Futon Critic:
Monday (click the image to view the schedule)

In my opinion, ABCs Monday nights are looking mighty sh*tty. Bunch of reality crap, but at least its time tested reality crap like Dancing with the Stars, Wife Swap, and The Bachelor which I didn't even know still came on. I'm sure ABC affiliate ESPN's airing of Monday Night Football has something to do with that.
CBS is coming with more of the same. Hopefully the Big Bang Theory has potential. But I'm not watching it so, let me know.
I'll probably check out NBC's Chuck, only because I like everything they've been putting out there lately. (But f*ck em for taking their shows off of iTunes.)
Let's see... still not watching Fox's Prison Break.
Everybody Hates Chris is back on the CW. Hands down the best show on the station (not in a smartest kid on the short bus way either). I'm also looking forward to the new show following it, Aliens in America. That's my 8-9 hour right there. Then I'm flipping to football on ESPN at 9.
Comeback later for Tuesday.
